Important Update


TLDR: Voided Visual novel is discontinued. Want to make Voided a non-hentai 3d Hack and Slash game or an animation series. I have learned 3d modeling over the past year to make that happen. I am currently partially blind and can't work as much in August. Will try to post weekly updates to the public Patreon. 

Hello everyone, 

     I hope everyone is doing well. I just wanted to update everyone on what is happening in voided as many people are waiting for [0.2] to drop. I stopped working on Voided [0.2] roughly 50% through development. This would be roughly around July 2023. My reasoning for this which I talked about in my Discord server was that the more I wrote for the story the more I felt that I did not want the game to be a hentai game. I loved the story arcs for the characters and wanted to switch the visual novel game into either a 3D game or an animation. This does not mean that it is going to be pg only. I may include a setting to disable adult scenes in the story. This is why I removed the Mega download to Voided [0.1].  I know many people do not want Voided to be a non-hentai game which I am sorry about. 

     I am currently leaning towards a 3D Hack and Slash game and for the past year, I have been learning 3d modeling software [Blender] as well as Unreal Engine 5 and have made vast improvements in my skills. I am open to seeing which route people would prefer to see Voided take, either 3D or Animation. It does not have to be either as there will still be cutscenes that can be uploaded separately to watch the story similar to Final Fantasy 7 Remake for those who have played that game.

          The Future of Development:

     Currently, I have completed the entire script for Voided. I am currently having it peer-reviewed for plot holes, parts that are too confusing, or parts that show characters out of character. I have been working on modeling the characters from the Visual Novel. Currently, only Shizu’s body is completed. After that would be textures, hair, rigging bones, and then the character would be completed. The world map is being developed and the borders for the countries and towns are being tested in UE5 [prototyping world layout]. I plan for the game to be semi-linear with 1 or 2 choices throughout the story which greatly change the direction of the story. Currently only have 1 choice roughly halfway through the script. 

          Problems:

     Recently development has slowed down significantly. At the beginning of August, I developed an eye infection which led to partial blindness. I am in and out of the hospital and Dr's offices roughly once every other day and the time I can spend working on the game is shortened to 1-3 hours a day maximum. This is for total time I can spend on a computer without developing a mind-splitting headache. The Physicians are confident that this can be fixed but over months. Secondly, School is starting up in September which will also slow down development due to studying and homework. But by then the physicians said I should no longer be developing a headache so development time should remain at 1-3 hours per day. Last time I closed my Patreon after launching because I had stopped working on the game that people wanted. Visual novel Voided [0.2]. Patreon has been reinstated and will be for this new version of Voided and will contain updates to the new version rather than the old one. I plan to upload some new development logs every week to Patreon [Public] and have yet to think of special features that Patreon subscribers receive. Currently thinking of custom clothes for their characters.
